Poster features and guidelines
We are pleased to invite poster submissions for the SUPPORTER final conference on advancing gender equality in widening higher education institutions.
This event which will be held on 5 June in Prague will bring together stakeholders to exchange best practices, discuss challenges, and explore strategies for sustaining Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) in diverse fields, particularly in Widening Countries.
This is an opportunity to highlight your achievements in advancing gender equality within your field, learn from peers, and inspire future action.
We invite contributions that showcase an innovative initiative from your project that has led to progress in gender equality.
Key features
We suggest that the poster’s content is explicit and attention-grabbing, organising the information into the following sections:
- Project name: Provide the title of your initiative.
- Issue addressed: Clearly define the challenge your initiative aimed to solve.
- Tangible outcomes (100 words max): Describe measurable results, policy changes, increased awareness, or concrete actions. Use data, statistics, or testimonials where available.
- Innovative aspect: Highlight with two phrases maximum what makes your initiative unique and impactful in its context.
- Implementation date: Specify when the initiative took place.
- Participants: List key stakeholders, organisations, or target groups involved.
- Theme: Identify the broader theme, such as gender equality awareness, work-life balance, or inclusion in sports.
- Visuals: Include relevant images that illustrate the initiative’s impact.

Poster format
- Format: A1 size 594 x 841 mm, vertical orientation.
- Language: English.
- Font: Clear, readable fonts like Arial, Helvetica, or Calibri. Minimum size: 24pt for text, 36pt for headings.
- Visual accessibility: Ensure high contrast and colour schemes are accessible to individuals with colour vision deficiencies.
- Images and graphics: Use high-resolution images (minimum 300 PPI). Clearly label all visuals and provide captions.
- Inclusive language: Use gender-sensitive, culturally aware communication.
- Logo: Include the logo or branding.

Submission requirements
Register for the event by 10 May.
- Submit your abstract online by 10 May to Communication@supporter-project.eu
- The SUPPORTER team will review submissions and provide minor feedback by 20 May for final adjustments.

Conference day guidelines
- Bring your printed poster and arrive at the venue by 11:00 local time.
- A SUPPORTER team member will assist with setup.
- Posters will be displayed throughout the conference.
- Poster presentation: 5 June, 13:30 – 14:00. Be present at your poster to discuss your initiative and answer questions.
